How to nominate
The NUS Awards 2014 are now open for you to enter and nominations close midday on Wednesday 7th May 2014. Judging criteria for each award are detailed below.
You can submit your application online at the ‘Nominations’ page for any award.
Criteria
The following judging criteria are used each award in this category respectively.
Endsleigh Student of the Year
1. What has the student done to be an example of an outstanding and inspirational student and so deserve recognition?
2. Who has benefitted from the student’s actions?
3. What commitment to volunteering have they shown within the last 12 months?
4. Have they been an inspiration to others, and in what way?
5. What impact has the student made on the student population, student volunteering or local community in the past year?
6. What level of dedication (in terms of time, resources and effort) has the student shown?
Officer Team of the Year
1. What has the team done over and above the normal expectations across the year to deserve recognition?
2. What impact have they made on the students’ union in achieving its aims and objectives, and how have these impacted on the student experience this year?
3. How have they worked together to achieve these aims and objectives and be an inspiration to the students they represent?
4. What outstanding projects or campaigns did they deliver to make the past 12 months an exceptional year?
5. How has participation been improved in the union across the past year due to their work?
6. How have the team demonstrated a commitment to the values of their union?
Simpson-King Staff Achievement Award
1. What has the staff member done beyond the call of duty and so deserve recognition?
2. How have they demonstrated a commitment to the values of their union?
3. Who has benefited from their work and commitment?
4. How have they been an inspiration to others, and in what way?
5. What impact have they made on the students’ union?
