Since 2008 Endsleigh have been extremely proud partners of the NUS awards. With a heritage set in the student movement since our foundation in 1965, we have always endeavoured to support students in every way possible.
We believe in the celebration of excellence in students and students’ unions and the NUS awards allow us to be a part of recognising some of the astounding achievements seen each year across the movement.
Although Endsleigh partner the whole event, we feel it appropriate to lend our name to two awards in particular; The Endsleigh Student of the Year award and The Endsleigh Technology Innovation award.
The Endsleigh Student of the Year category showcases the individual impact students are able to have within their communities, whether this is internal or external to the union and university. The stories of the winners throughout the last 5 years have been moving, often astonishing, definitely humbling but have always shown the true successes that have taken place outside students’ curricular study.
At Endsleigh we strive to ensure we make an impact on individual students, whether this is through offering the most competitive insurance rates or through the provision of tools to support students in their lifestyle which will help enable them to thrive and succeed. This is why we wish to support such a category.
The Endsleigh Technology Innovation award shows how unions are pioneering new and innovative developments in technology to reach out to, and engage with a membership that is continually evolving in the way in which they communicate.
At Endsleigh we particularly want to recognise this technological innovation in students’ unions as it mirrors our own aims to be the market leaders in our approach to technology. 2012 saw us launch the student hub, an online go-to place for student lifestyle matters.
We want to work with students’ on their terms, in their space and we recognise that technology is the way to achieve this and so, we are ever impressed and inspired by those reacting to this in the student movement.
