The NUS Wales Awards 2013 are now closed.

A shortlist of entries will be posted here no later than Monday 4 March.

Winners will be announced at a gala dinner on Wednesday 13 March at NUS Wales Conference in the Hilton Hotel, Newport.

We campaign on current issues and change the lives of students on a daily basis.

We continue to build a national movement with training, support, and knowledge passed from generation to generation of students and student officers.

This strong national movement champions the rights of students and improves the long term future of education for the benefit of society.

We constantly seek out our next battle, no matter how big or small, so that we can continue to improve the lives of students and all those wanting access to education.

But sometimes we need to reflect.

The work we do across the student movement is incredible and, for one evening, we should stop thinking about our next battle and celebrate this. Celebrate the work of your union; celebrate the work of officers, of staff and also of those inspirational students that go above and beyond to help their peers.

The NUS Wales Awards, now in their second year, aim to do exactly that.

NUS Wales Conference 2013 is a two-day gathering of students elected to set the agenda of NUS Wales for the coming year.
