David Clark
David is Deputy Chief Executive and Head of Programmes & Policy at BYC (British Youth Council)
David oversees a variety our work in the UK aimed at empowering young people to get actively involved in society. David also leads on policy and campaigns, developing the organisation’s membership base and strengthening BYC’s network of youth councils across the UK, the UK Youth Parliament and the Young Mayors Network.
He joined BYC in August 2006 as Programmes Coordinator, having previously worked for the Royal National Lifeboat Institution as South East of England Education Manager. Previously he was Union Welfare Officer at the University of Plymouth Students’ Union for two years and is a qualified primary teacher.
